1 - 2 March 2017 Crowded city at the pristine coastNowoczesne miasto przy naturalnej plaży Pressures exerted by building on the dunes, visual pollution, noise and carrying capacity are current key challenges to the sustainable development of tourism and recreation in the cities along the Polish coast and in particular the Gulf of Gdansk. Through the MML workshop would be addressed the following issues:
- How should sustainable tourism and recreation be regulated to allow for sustainable development of coastal areas?
- What type of knowledge/research is needed to develop tourism and recreation in the sustainable way in order to support well-being of local communities and protect marine and coastal ecosystem?
- What different groups of stakeholders can do to support sustainable tourism and recreation?
- What links/connections do you see between knowledge needs and actions to be taken and the RRI criteria?
